The guys at Team Financial Group were very blessed this year by a bet that Tim Maczka made with Fritz Heller, GM of Fairfield Inn, Traverse City. Tim and Fritz made a wager on the Rockford/Traverse City Central playoff football game which resulted in Fritz agreeing to take the guys out to Pine Hill Farms in Belding, Michigan for an afternoon of pheasant hunt. Fritz and his brother Rick were gracious enough to bring their state champion bird dogs with them and showed us a great time.
We must have kicked 50 birds throughout the afternoon. Thankfully we
brought plenty of ammunition because as Fritz put it, he and Rick are
still talking about all the birds that "flew the line" on our group. We
ended up with 20 birds, tired legs, and some great memories. Thanks to
Fritz & Rick for taking the afternoon to let us throw some lead and
work their dogs and thanks to Pine Hill Farms for providing a great
environment for the birds to live. Lastly thanks to the doe that
decided to take one step to the right as opposed to running Mike Schmidt
over during the hunt. It will be a hunt that will be talked about for
years. The girls are eagerly awaiting their spa day with Tim for
holding down the fort while we went out and played.
